What's Flame Spraying?

Flame Spraying is a unique and practical method of applying coatings of Metals and Ceramics onto most metals and some non-metal surfaces.

These coatings are typically used to restore worn areas on equipment parts: provide protection against wear, corrosion or cavitation; high temperature protection against galling, and ooxidation; thermal barriers; and electrical insulation or electrical conduction.

The flame spraying coating process utilizes metal or ceramic powders, wires or rods that through different application processes are converted into a molten particle spray, which mechanically bond (in some cases metallurgical bond) to the substrate material producing strengths that exceed 10,000 PSI.

Why use Flame Spraying?

Less expensive Repairs generally cost less than replacing with new parts.
Wear Resistance Flame sprayed coatings often outwear new parts two to three times.
Safer Flame Spraying does not produce distortion or affect temper of heat treated parts that other repair methods cause.
Saves Time Turn-around time can be as low as a few hours.
Technological
Advances
New process innovations allow us to apply exotic wear resistant materials onto less wear resistant parts.
